Evening Primrose Oil
Evening primrose oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and a natural remedy for coat and skin problems.
Cold pressed evening primrose oil provides important fatty acids
Originally, the evening primrose comes from North America, but also became famous as a medicinal plant in Europe since the 17th century. The oil from the seeds of the evening primrose is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and γ-linolenic acid (GLA), which the dog's organism cannot produce sufficiently by itself. The fatty acids are necessary for many important processes in the body. For this reason, the oil is a valuable BARF supplement, which can be added in small amounts every day.
Evening primrose oil helps with skin and coat problems
Evening primrose oil can be used to reduce skin problems such as dandruff, hair loss, eczema and (allergic) itching, but also rheumatic complaints. Used preventively, the γ linolenic acids contained in evening primrose oil give your pet a healthy and shiny coat.
Feeding recommendation per day:
Cats: 1 ml
Dogs per 10 kg: 1 - 2 ml
The oil can either be mixed with the BARF meals or used externally. For external use, simply apply a small amount to the coat and massage it in gently.
